From Raw Blocks to Refined Products

The DS-D-G3412 presses the wire web downward in a compact 38-ton layout: thin-slab programs down to about 3 mm, 0.35–0.8 mm wire flexibility and 270 kW installed power for medium-size blocks and engineered stone.
Wide 3.4 m cutting span with a 1200 mm depth — matched to medium-size blocks and wide thin-slab programs.
Under suitable conditions the machine finishes thin slabs down to about 3 mm, depending on stone, wire and configuration.
Four 64 kW main drives provide sustained power for wide thin-slab and engineered-stone programs.
The D-series wire window (0.35–0.8 mm) covers thin-kerf programs; 0–300 N servo tension keeps the web stable.
Applicable materials: Granite, marble, engineered stone, quartz, limestone and other hard stones.
Typical products: Thin and standard slabs, large-format tiles, engineered stone panels.
Wire count and slab output are configuration-dependent, not fixed machine limits. Actual cutting speed and accuracy vary with stone hardness, block dimensions, wire specification and on-site conditions.
The DS-D-G3412 is the compact size of the down-feed range: 3.4 m cutting width, 2400 mm lifting stroke and 270 kW installed power on a 38-ton platform that saves about 30% of floor space against traditional layouts. Control brands (Inovance / INVT / Siemens / SINEE) are configured per project; the larger DS-D-G3623 covers 3600 × 2300 mm blocks.

Six core systems around the down-feed architecture — built for fast wire handling, thin-slab flexibility and lower wire consumption per setup. The numbered points on the machine diagram correspond to the systems below.

A cycle follows four steps: fix the block on the worktable, thread wires per the slab program, apply stored or AI-recommended parameters, then feed the wire web down to cut. Automatic stop protects the machine on wire break.
The wire web feeds downward as the main rollers lower — the layout preferred for smaller blocks and thin-slab cutting. Down-feed wire handling shortens setup and re-threading time and reduces diamond-wire consumption per setup by up to 60%.
A 38-ton cast structure keeps the machine compact (8.9 × 6.4 × 5.3 m), saving about 30% of floor space against traditional cutting lines while preserving rigidity.
Four grooved main rollers (Φ320/Φ350/Φ400 × 1250) seat the wires, prevent deviation and define slab thickness; alternating servo rotation extends wire life.
The 0–300 N servo tension range covers thin-wire programs, compensating elongation and load changes through the cut.
Re-spacing wires and spacer plates switches between standard panels and thin-slab programs down to about 3 mm, following the order mix without mechanical changes.
The DINOSAW AI recipe system recommends parameters by stone type, hardness, block size and thickness; remote diagnosis and online support are included.

Common Questions About Down-Feed Thin Multi-Wire Saw
Normally no. Switching between wire diameters within the 0.35–0.8 mm range needs only re-spacing the wires and adjusting parameters; roller grooves are re-machined only when the slab thickness program changes, typically about monthly for 20 mm slabs and half as often again for thinner programs.
