Real Cutting Performance & Key Metrics

The DINOSAW sintered continuous rim disc is built for precision: chip-free cuts on ceramic, porcelain, marble and sintered stone through 105–300 mm sizes for tile saws, angle grinders and masonry saws — the disc for edges that show.

105–300 mm

Precision Range

Nine diameters from 105 to 300 mm cover tile saws, grinders and masonry saws — the full precision cutting fleet.

Chip-Free Edge

Finish Quality

The continuous rim shears brittle material without segment impact: cut edges install directly or need only one polishing pass.

Sintered Rim

Rim Durability

Sintered rim construction holds diamond through the rim depth, not a surface layer — the rim wears evenly and stays true to diameter.

Wet + Dry

Saw Flexibility

Runs on wet tile saws and dry grinders alike — tile crews and stone shops stock one disc for both regimes.

Applicable materials: Ceramic tile, porcelain, marble, granite and sintered stone.

Typical tools: Tile saws, angle grinders and masonry saws for finish cutting, edge trimming and detail work.

Actual disc life varies with material hardness and wet versus dry cutting conditions.

Specs and options

Nine diameters from 105 mm (2 mm kerf) to 300 mm (2.8 mm kerf) with arbor options 20/22.23/25.4 mm: continuous sintered rims sized for chip-sensitive cutting on tile saws down to handheld trim work.

Core Technology & Disc Structure

Four engineering decisions behind the continuous rim design. The numbered points on the disc diagram correspond to the systems below.

Continuous Rim Disc Selection Workflow

Match the disc in four steps: confirm the saw type and arbor, select diameter for the cut capacity, run wet on tile saws for best life and finish, then feed steadily without forcing — porcelain rewards patience with chip-free edges.

01

Continuous Shear Edge

Without segment gaps, the rim meets the material as a continuous shearing edge: porcelain and ceramic cut without the micro-impact chips that segment lips leave at the surface.

02

Sintered Rim Depth

Sintered rims carry diamond through the full rim section, not a plated surface: as the rim wears it keeps cutting — disc life is measured by rim depth, not by when the coating fades.

03

Brittle-Material Geometry

Kerf width scales with diameter from 2.0 to 2.8 mm: fine slots on trimming sizes, stable tracking on tile saw sizes — the geometry follows the tool, not a single compromise.

04

Multi-Arbor Options

20, 22.23 and 25.4 mm arbor options by size match tile saws and grinders directly — concentric seating without adapters protects the chip-free edge quality the disc exists to deliver.

05

Wet Cutting Efficiency

On wet tile saws the continuous rim works with full water flow: cooling at the shear zone extends both disc life and edge quality on long porcelain runs.

06

Diameter Precision Scaling

From 105 mm grinder trims to 300 mm tile saw cuts, one rim design logic covers the precision range — crews learn one disc behavior across the fleet.

Continuous Rim Disc Selection & Use FAQ

Common Questions About Sintered Continuous Rim Discs

When a continuous rim chips porcelain, the cause is usually mechanical, not the rim design. Check in order: support under the tile — a poorly supported exit line lets the offcut drop and tear the edge, the single most common cause; feed pressure — forcing the cut flexes the tile and fractures the glaze line at the edge; blade wear — a rim worn past its useful life develops runout, and a wobbling rim chips exactly like a dull blade looks; and flange cleanliness — a chip of dried slurry between flange and disc induces the same wobble. Run the tile fully supported, feed steadily without pushing, and true the disc on the arbor before blaming the material. If the disc is new, properly mounted and the tile fully supported, and chips persist on one material brand only, the bond may be too hard for that body — that is a specification question for a trial cut.

Longer than any plated disc, and measurably: sintered rims carry abrasive depth, so life is a function of how much rim you use, not when a coating gives out. On a wet tile saw cutting standard ceramic, a quality sintered rim commonly serves through many production runs; on hard porcelain or granite, expect proportionally shorter life because the material wears the rim faster — the disc is doing the same job, against a harder opponent. Track linear meters per disc on your dominant material and use that as the baseline: when cut quality drops before the rim looks spent, the rim has glazed or the machine needs checking; when the rim is visibly consumed, the disc has delivered its full life. Either way, the sintered rim's depth is the reason the answer is measured in meters rather than in weeks.
