Real Cutting Performance & Key Metrics

DINOSAW granite diamond saw blades are a hardness-matched blade system spanning bridge saws and multi-blade block cutters — 250 to 3000 mm, with M-shape and multi-layer segment configurations, silent core options and large-diameter core stability engineered per machine class.

Full Diameter Range

Bridge saw blades at the small end, large block-cutting blades at the upper end — one blade family across the granite cutting floor.

15 / 20 mm

Segment Height Options

Two segment heights match blade duty and re-grinding economics: taller segments serve heavy block cutting, standard heights cover bridge saw production.

M-Shape / Multi-Layer

Segment Configurations

Two segment architectures cover different granite programs: M-shape for free-cutting behavior, multi-layer for controlled wear in demanding abrasive stone.

Standard / Silent

Core Options

Standard cores for conventional cutting, silent cores for noise-regulated workshops and urban cutting environments — the core is a configuration choice, not an afterthought.

Applicable materials: All granite types, from soft commercial granites to hard abrasive varieties.

Typical machines: Bridge saws, multi-blade block cutters and gantry cutting lines.

Actual blade life and cutting speed vary with granite hardness, machine parameters and water supply.

Specs and options

Core Technology & Blade Structure

Four engineering decisions behind the granite blade system. The numbered points on the blade diagram correspond to the systems below.

Granite Blade Specification Workflow

DINOSAW specifies the blade from seven inputs: stone name, photo or sample for hardness class; blade diameter; machine model; spindle power and RPM; arbor specification; cutting depth; and current feed speed or expected output. The response comes back as a matched formulation, segment configuration and core option — trial cutting on your granite confirms it before production orders.

01

Granite-Specific Formulation

Granite is not one cutting condition: diamond grade, concentration and bond hardness are selected around the stone's hardness and abrasiveness, so soft commercial granite and hard abrasive granite do not run on the same compromise formulation. DINOSAW matches the formulation to your granite class — sample evaluation settles the specification before production orders.

02

M-Shape vs. Multi-Layer Selection

M-shape segments prioritize free cutting and kerf opening; multi-layer designs distribute diamond and bond structure through the wear zone for controlled life in demanding programs. The choice follows the granite class and production targets — trial cuts on your stone confirm the configuration rather than a fixed formula.

03

Steel Core Flatness & Tension

The segment can only cut as straight as the steel core runs: core flatness and factory tensioning keep large-diameter blades tracking through long cuts instead of wandering, heating unevenly or loading the spindle — the foundation of cut quality on 2000–3000 mm blades.

04

Diameter-Scaled Blade Engineering

Blade engineering scales with diameter: segment count, core thickness and tensioning follow the rim speed and load class of each size, so cutting behavior stays predictable from the Φ250 bridge saw blade to the largest block cutter blade.

05

Silent Core Construction

Silent-core construction damps steel-disc resonance during cutting, reducing the characteristic blade-ring noise of large circular saws — measurable noise reduction where workshops sit near offices, housing or noise-regulated zones.

06

Retention-Engineered Segments

Weld and segment-seat design are engineered for retention at the blade's rated operating speed: segment attachment is a safety-critical part of blade manufacture, controlled in production and verified before dispatch.

Granite Saw Blade Selection & Use FAQ

Common Questions About Diamond Granite Saw Blades

Lead with the stone, not the diameter. Hard, dense, abrasive granite consumes bonds quickly and needs a formulation that releases diamond progressively — typically multi-layer segment structures with the bond tuned to the stone's abrasion rate. Soft commercial granite behaves oppositely: it cannot wear a hard bond fast enough, so free-cutting M-shape configurations keep the segment face open and the feed rate high. The practical route is sample-based: send the stone name, a photo of the fresh cut surface, or a sample block, and DINOSAW returns a formulation recommendation — confirmed by trial cutting before you commit to production quantity. Between the classes, expect different blade life baselines: track square meters per blade on your stone class, and judge blades against that number, not against another factory's different granite.

Need is environmental, not technical. If your saws run in a workshop hall where operators work multiple machines, near offices or housing where noise complaints arrive before blades wear out, or on urban cutting sites under local noise limits, the silent core's resonance damping earns its price difference in decibels and in reduced hearing-protection pressure. In open yards, quarries or isolated plants with no noise constraints, a standard core delivers the same cutting performance at lower cost. The decision checklist: measure the current blade ring noise at the operator position, check local noise regulations, and ask whether complaints or monitoring already exist. If any answer is yes, specify silent cores at order — retrofitting blade inventories later costs more than choosing correctly once.

The formulation logic transfers, the blade does not. Bridge saws and multi-blade block cutters load blades differently: rim speed, cutting depth, arbor and flange systems, and core stiffness requirements all differ by machine class. A blade specified for a bridge saw runs the correct rim speed and core tension for that machine; mounting it on a block cutter exposes it to loads it was not engineered for — and the same applies in reverse. What transfers is the formulation: the bond and segment configuration matched to your granite class carries across machine classes, with diameter, core and arbor re-specified per machine. Factories running both machine types standardize on one formulation program with per-machine blade specifications — one stone data set serves the whole blade fleet.
